Q: I want to buy a smartphone under Rs 14,000. Please tell me which is the best option.

G&G: You can consider Micromax Canvas HD as this is one of the best smartphones at this price point. Other options can be Intex Aqua, Micromax Canvas 2 or Sony Xperia U.
Q: Thanks a lot for your help in deciding which LED TV to buy. I am now looking to buy a laptop for a budget of under `27,000. I will be using the laptop for watching movies, listening to music, surfing the Internet, MS office and playing games like FIFA13 and NFS. I need 3-4 hours battery life, 15-inch screen size, DVD writer, 4 GB DDR, Card Reader, USB 2.0 & 3.0 ports, 500 GB Hard Disk, Good Sound output quality (SRS, Dolby or JBL), 3rd Gen Intel Core i3 or i5 and it should be Windows 8 ready.

Q: The specs you have asked for are almost impossible to find in that budget. Dell Inspiron 15 seems the best buy in your range. Acer Aspire V notebooks are also available, but with Pentium Dual Core. Fujitsu Lifebook AH532, Asus X54C-SX454D are other models you can look at. Look at the new Acer Aspire V5 or Dell Inspiron 14 R if you can push budget to `35,000, which would be the best thing to do given your requirements. For options within your present budget read this old G&G story below.

Q: I want to buy a new Windows Phone 8 device. Can you tell which phone is better, Nokia Lumia 520, 620 or 720. I am using Windows 8 on my laptop and I like the experience very much. So is it better to have Windows Phone 8 instead of Android? I have a budget of up to Rs 20,000.
- Arpit Mittal, on email
G&G: If you have Windows 8 on your laptop, go ahead and buy a Windows Phone 8 device. We loved the first looks of the Nokia Lumia 720, but it is still not available in India. It is always better to use devices in tandem instead of using multiple platforms.
