Nikhil Advani's directorial venture, D-Day, opened to a poor response at box office. The movie could only gather Rs 2.50 crore nett on the first day of its release.

Looking at the figures, the movie really needs to register a good growth on weekends to be a success. The film's performance was poor across the board with slightly better collections at some centres of Mumbai circuit. The collections in other circuits and North India were very poor as Bhaag Milkha Bhaag continued to lead the race.

D-Day stars Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan with a cluster of actors who have off and on proved their mettle.

The film is about how four characters, Arjun Rampal (Captain Rudra Pratap Singh), Irrfan Khan (Wali Khan)Huma Qureshi (Zoya Rehman)and Chandan Roy Sanyal come together in a foreign country to bring back India's most dreaded terrorist Iqbal (Rishi Kapoor).
