Krrish 3 strikes gold, collections top Rs 114 cr nett

Krrish 3 continues to have a dream run at the box office, collecting another Rs 13 crore on Wednesday as the holiday weekend came to an end across India.

The total box office collections of the movie, starring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut, now stand at Rs 114.25 crore nett. The figure, however, does not include collections of Tamil and Telegu dubbed versions.*

'Krrish 3' is director-producer Rakesh Roshan's third instalment of the franchise that hit the road to glory in 2003 with 'Koi...Mil Gaya'.

North India and Central India which are the key mass belts that have performed phenomenally well since Monday. The four metros, however, are still to catch up with other centres in terms of collections.

'Krrish 3' had been a huge draw at multiplexes across India over the extended festive weekend, even as the mass areas continued to perform very strong.

The movie that struck a chord with the audience has reaped rich dividends from the day of its release, earning Rs 72.7 crore within the first three days. The figure includes collections from the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions as well.

Released last Friday, the superhero sci-fi movie set a new record earlier this week. It registered the highest single-day collection ever on an opening week's Monday, earning about Rs 31.50 crore nett in its Hindi version.

The weekend collections of 'Krrish 3' were the seventh highest of all-time, but the 'first seven days' figure is likely to come in at the third place or possibly the second position. analysts see Krrish 3's first week collections totalling around Rs 125 crore nett.

The movie's business so far is as follows -

Friday - Rs 18.75 crore
Saturday - Rs 15.50 crore
Sunday - Rs 15 crore
Monday - Rs 31.50 crore
Tuesday - Rs 20.50 crore
Wednesday - Rs 13 crore
TOTAL - Rs 114.25 crore nett
