The largest recall, of 4,50,000 Sienna minivans from the 2004-2011 model years, targets vehicles sold in cold weather areas.

Maruti Suzuki India strengthened its dominance with five of its models figuring in the top 10 best selling car brands in the domestic market in April.
General Motors Co said it is recalling another 2.6 million vehicles globally, raising the number of vehicles it has recalled so far this year to almost 15.4 million.
Tata Motors on Thursday reported 7.65 per cent decline in its global sales, including that of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), to 75,026 units in April.
The company had stopped taking bookings for the vehicle, which was launched in June, in the wake of heavy demand.

Unlike last time when the union said it would go on strike from May 15, the current postponement of stoppage has no date.
The company has exported over 2.85 lakh units of the compact car. The Alto range now has eight variants, with prices starting at Rs 2.41 lakh.
Domestic passenger car sales declined by 10.15 per cent to 135,433 units in April as compared to 150,737 units in the year-ago month.
