Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted India's remarkable transformation in electronics manufacturing, calling it one of the country's biggest industrial success stories. He said that just a few years ago, electronics manufacturing and exports from India were considered nearly impossible, with the sector largely absent from national discussions. Today, India has built a ₹13 lakh crore electronics manufacturing industry and emerged as a major global player. Vaishnaw noted that electronics exports have climbed rapidly through the rankings, moving from ninth place to become India's third-largest export category in 2025. Crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of making India a trusted manufacturing partner for the world, Vaishnaw said the country's growing capabilities are reshaping global perceptions and creating new opportunities for economic growth.
