A massive traffic gridlock has disrupted movement on the Badrinath National Highway (NH-7) near Joshimath in Uttarakhand, leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded for long hours. Due to the heavy congestion, local police and district authorities have deployed additional personnel and introduced an emergency token-based Gate System to manage traffic flow. Under the temporary arrangement, one-way traffic movement is being allowed at 30-minute intervals to gradually clear the long backlog of vehicles.
