Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, Director General of Directorate General of Civil Aviation, addressed the Safety Seminar 2025, reaffirming India’s unwavering commitment to aviation safety amid rapid sectoral growth. Highlighting India’s position as one of the world’s largest domestic aviation markets, Kidwai pointed to strong growth in passenger traffic, cargo operations, and fleet expansion over the past decade. He credited this progress to a robust regulatory framework, rigorous audits, and continuous surveillance mechanisms. Emphasising alignment with global standards, Kidwai said the DGCA remains focused on further improving audit performance, regulatory harmonization, and safety oversight. As India’s aviation ecosystem scales new heights, the regulator aims to ensure growth remains safe, efficient, and sustainable.
