The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is set to launch E-PRAAPTI, a new Aadhaar-based portal that will help employees trace forgotten or inactive PF accounts. The platform will allow members to identify old EPF accounts, link them with their current Universal Account Number (UAN), and transfer or withdraw eligible balances through a simplified digital process. The initiative is expected to benefit millions of employees who changed jobs before the UAN system was introduced in 2014. According to EPFO data, over 30.9 lakh inactive PF accounts holding nearly ₹9,330 crore remain unclaimed. Watch this video to understand how the portal works, who can use it, and why this update matters for every EPF subscriber.
