Indian Railways has unveiled the beta version of its redesigned IRCTC website, promising a faster and more user-friendly train ticket booking experience. The new portal features a cleaner interface, fewer pop-ups and CAPTCHAs, reduced booking steps, and a smarter seat availability view across all travel classes. It will also allow passengers to save traveller details, making repeat bookings quicker. The beta is currently being integrated with the Passenger Reservation System (PRS), which powers railway reservations across India. Railway officials have already demonstrated the new platform to students and collected feedback before the wider rollout. The fully integrated website is expected to be launched over the next few months.
