At India AI Impact Summit, L&T Technology Services showcased a ‘Made in India’ robot dog, called Svan M2. The robot, made in collaboration with xTerra Robotics from IIT Kanpur, is being applied by L&T for construction and oil & gas site surveillance. The robot can also be use for surveillance during emergency situations and disaster management. The version showcased at the summit has a payload capacity of 5 kgs and has 1 hour of battery life. An enterprise variant of it comes with 3 hours of battery life, a payload capacity of 15-20 kgs, and is water resistant with an IP54 and 64 rating.
