Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said Uttar Pradesh has undergone a remarkable transformation, moving from being seen as a backward and crime-ridden state to one that now attracts industries every day. Speaking in Lucknow, he highlighted that UP is no longer defined by lawlessness but by economic and strategic growth. Rajnath said projects linked to national security are now taking shape in the state, with the government setting up a dedicated defence industrial corridor. This, he noted, has put Uttar Pradesh firmly on India’s industrial and security map. The Defence Minister added that the rapid expansion of manufacturing and defence-related projects reflects growing investor confidence and the state’s improved governance. According to him, this turnaround marks one of UP’s biggest achievements in recent decades.
