Nearly a dozen companies have been identified in a preliminary list, including maharatna and navratna CPSEs such as Indian Oil Corporation, NTPC, Power Grid, Oil India, GAIL, BPCL, and Engineers India Limited, where the government wants to cut its direct holding to under 51 per cent
GAIL reported growth across all segments during the financial year ended
March 31, 2019. The natural gas marketing vertical recorded the highest
growth of 127.62 per cent during the period under review
Tata Global Beverages September-quarter group consolidated net profit at Rs 144 crore versus profit of Rs 127 crore last year. Eicher Motors Q2 consolidated net profit at Rs 518 crore versus profit of Rs 413 crore last year. Shares slip 1.67 percent to 30,050 level.
Other firms that bid for city gas distribution licenses at the close of
bidding on Monday included Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL), Hindustan
Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL), Gujarat Gas and GSPC, sources said.
The two companies plan to pursue business opportunities in natural gas and LNG value chain
business globally, which will cover cooperation in petrochemicals,
natural gas procurement, pipelines and LNG.
Gas Authority of India Limited (Gail) on Sunday suspended two senior
company officials of its Andhra Pradesh (AP) office to fix
responsibility for the leakage in the gas pipeline which led to the fire
that killed 19 persons and injured several others.
