WEF: Imran Khan bowls for better Indo-Pak trade ties

Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan has advocated better trade relations between India and Pakistan and said he hoped this would lead to increased trust between the two countries.

Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan has advocated better trade relations between India and Pakistan and said he hoped this would lead to increased trust between the two countries.

He was speaking to journalists at the World Economic Forum (WEF) on India event in Gurgaon, Haryana, on Wednesday.

Khan, who heads political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, is emerging as a key figure in Pakistan politics.

The Pakistani politician met with Bajaj Auto chairman Rahul Bajaj, Reliance Industries Executive Director Nikhil Meswani, and Union Law Minister Ashwani Kumar at the WEF event. He is said to have spoken to them about the political scenario in Pakistan and the promise the country's economy holds.

Khan was attending the summit along with Pakistani corporate executives and social entrepreneurs.
