The China Kitchen Bar is a tippler's delight. The city's nocturnal crowd now has a spot to unwind and indulge till the wee hours of the morning. Celebrated as one of the best Chinese fine-dining restaurants in the capital, The China Kitchen in Hyatt Regency Delhi, now sports a15-20 cover bar and is open till 4 am. The last order is taken at 1.45 a.m.

For starters, the bar looks great, considering it was earlier a waiting lounge for hungry guests hoping to get a quick table at TCK. Enter the cosy space and you are greeted by an imposing, well-stocked bar that stocks some fine malts, wines, cocktails and champagnes.

The decor is woody and warm and exudes real charm. It also blends seamlessly with the restaurant. The intimate setting with dim lights on table tops gives off a private-party vibe. I started my evening with a refreshing apple martini: a soothing concoction made with vodka and fresh apple juice; it's practically impossible to have just one. Next, I sampled some Sichuan style bamboo shoots and crispy prawns that went perfectly with my refreshing drink. The texture and taste was faultless. The piping hot chicken sui mai and shrimp dumplings were delicately flavoured and worth the price, because it must be said that the bar is pricey. A meatlover's delight, the wok-fried tenderloin or the crispy pork ribs are the ones you should go for.
