Designer wings on KLM

     Print Edition: June 9, 2013

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has roped in designer Hella Jongerius to redesign the interiors of its world business class cabins.

With a blue palette, polka dot motif, panels, curtains and cushions, the refurbished cabin will make passengers feel right at home. In addition, seats will be able to recline completely and feature more storage compartments, even as strategically placed TV screens and partitions ensure greater privacy than ever before. With the changes being carried out in the fleet's Boeing 747-400s, the first such flight will take wing in July.
