Q. I have a Dell Inspiron 3520 and want to replace it with a new laptop under Rs 65,000. I am a big fan of playing PC games and am thinking of buying an Alienware. Could you please suggest the best laptop for gaming available in the market. - Mukund Natani, on email

A. The best laptop is undoubtedly the Alienware 14. But that costs over Rs 1,13,000 (review inside). For your budget Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 or 510p is good.

Q. I want to buy a laptop with the best battery life, display, audio, processor and gaming capabilities for around Rs 45,000. Please suggest options from Sony, Dell and HP. - Omar Rashid, on email

A. You will not get the best of the listed features in a laptop that costs under Rs 45,000. But you can definetely have the best specs in that price range. Check out Sony Vaio Fit 15, Dell Inspiron with touch or HP Pavillion 15. These seem like the best options within your price bracket.

Q. I am a regular reader of G&G magazine and love it. I want to buy a decent camcorder but don't know anything about these devices. Please suggest a good camcorder in low to mid range. - Himanshu Mittal, on email

A. Camcorders are slowly but surely going out of fashion. It is better for you to buy a DSLR with Full HD video recording. Just buy one that fits your budget and you will have two things for the price of one. In fact, most short films and web videos are shot on DSLRs these days.
