It has been just over a month since the show Satyamev Jayate went on air and we already have an iOS app available for free download. The app has a specially composed song that matches the theme of the show. The app also features the song in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. However, the app just plays the first paragraph, giving users the option of purchasing the full song. The app also links to Facebook and Twitter. Plus there is a tab that shows the videos of the same song.
Pizza lovers have a reason to smile. Jubliant Works has come up an iOS application that eliminates the need to call the pizza joint to place orders. The first time you will have to spend a few minutes to set up and register the account. By keying in the mobile number, the app generates a password that you will receive in form of an SMS. Once done, the app offers two options-pick up or delivery. In case you choose pickup, it searches for nearby Dominos outlets. Then select a pizza, customise it with toppings and add drinks and desserts. After finalising the order, the app asks for the mode of payment. For delivery, it asks for the address that you need to register. But in our case, the app refused to complete the order stating the nearby store cannot accept online orders and someone will call back.

Shopping has been made easy with the official Zara mobile application as it lists the latest collection available in its stores. When used for the first time, we had to select our location. Once done, it categorised the week's new collection in men, women, etc. Selecting the category showed us the new stock added just as it is found on the website. Each article was accompanied by images that can be enlarged. All Indian pricing has also been mentioned next to the articles listed. While this app doesn't allow you to shop from the phone, it can actually save you time while looking for what's new at the store.
Concerned about the draining battery of your Android smartphone? This free and simple app helps boost the battery life of the phone. Once enabled, the app goes into action whenever the phone is in idle mode, i.e. the display is turned off. It automatically disables battery hogging features like 3G and Wi-Fi. But as soon as the screen is turned on, the signals are also back. However, in this process, we did not receive email notifications during the period. Overall, a good application as it can come handy when running on a low battery. It also shows the work logs.

Rated as one of the five essential iOS apps for photographers, the After Focus application helps add effects after the image has been captured. It helps in creating photos with blurred background, like in a DSLR camera. Easy to use, it lets you click a new photo or work on a captured one by choosing the smart or manual option. Once done, the image gets stored in the gallery. There is also an option to share it directly on the social networking sites.
