Plantronics Marque 2
Price: Rs 3,890
Earlier this year, Plantronics introduced the first Marque Bluetooth headset with an iPhone-like circular button on the front for answering and disconnecting calls. The Marque 2 carries forward the same design tradition but with some enhanced functionality.
Available in black and white, the Marque 2 is made entirely of plastic. The only saving grace is its chrome finish on the sides and the circular key. There are sliders on both sides for power and volume control. As soon as one powers on the headset, the voice prompt tells you how much power is left. Easy to pair with most smartphones, the sound quality of the Marque 2 is defenitely better than its predecessor's.
The new version has a noise reduction feature which was missing in the first device. Marque 2 has a dual microphone that reduces noise to offer a relatively clear sound. One can now answer or ignore a call using voice commands, without touching the headset, and this adds to the ease-of-use factor of the device.
The Marque 2 also comes with a car charger and a charging cable with a regular charging jack as well as a USB connector for plugging in phone's data cable. Unfortunately, just like the original Marque, even this one isn't comfortable to wear for longer durations.
BAG IT OR JUNK IT? An affordable Bluetooth headset, but not comfortable to wear.
