Bharti Infratel shares continued their gaining spree on Tuesday, rising over 5 per cent to hit a fresh 52-week high of Rs 440 after the company announced last week that is has been included in the MSCI Global Standard Index.
MSCI Global Standard Index, created by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), serves as a benchmark of the performance in major international equity markets.
The change in the index will be effective from the close of trading on May 29, 2015.
In the past 10 trading sessions, shares of Bharti Infratel have jumped 14 per cent.
For the quarter ended March 2015, the telecom tower infrastructure provider company posted a net profit of Rs 557.50 crore, up 18 per cent, against Rs 472.40 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
