The S&P BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty index on the National Stock Exchange declined 0.44 per cent and 0.49 per cent to 26,599.11 and 8,057.30, respectively.

Here are some stocks which remained in news today:-

 

  • Sintex Industries: Sintex Industries announced its earnings for the fourth quarter and the fiscal ended March 2015 on Thursday. For the quarter ended March 2015, the company registered net profit of Rs 197.78, up 22.71 per cent, against Rs 161.17 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago. The share price of the company retreated 5 per cent and closed the day at Rs 104.40.


  • Jindal Steel and Power: Jindal Steel and Power shares fell by 4 per cent in the early trade on Thursday after its chairman Naveen Jindal and 14 others were summoned by a special court in the coal blocks allocation scam case. However, it managed to end the day with 1.71 per cent gain at Rs 136.95.


  • United Spirits: The share price of the company tanked around 3 per cent to Rs 3,376 amid reports that United Spirits has refused to share with the BSE its inquiry report on alleged fund diversion to UB Group firms, after rejecting a similar demand from another stock exchange NSE to make the report public.
