Sun Pharma stock tumbles to six-year low on report of fresh allegations by whistleblower

The whistleblower complaint alleges that an Indian pharmaceutical manufacturer Aditya Medisales Ltd had transactions with Suraksha Realty, controlled by Sun Pharma's co-promoter, Sudhir Valia.

 
 
The stock is the top Sensex and Nifty gainer today. On Nifty, the stock rose to 198 level intra day compared to the previous close of 184.25.
Williamson Magor, which owns 45 per cent in the flagship company, has reportedly mandated Kotak Mahindra Bank for the proposed sale.
Bucking the trend, the broader markets ended tad lower, with MidCap and SmallCap indices falling as much as 0.04 per cent and 0.17 per cent, respectively.
 
 
The midcap stock touched an intra day low of 258.70, down 6.29% compared to the previous close of 276.05 level on the BSE.
As per media report, Naresh Goyal is likely to step down from the board giving up majority control and his stake in the airline may be down to 20-25 percent.
The large cap stock fell up to 2.76% to 1,836 level compared to its previous close of 1,888.15 on the BSE.
The stock rose up to 2.81% in opening trade to 688.70 compared to the previous close of 669.85 on the BSE.
