Aviation Stocks: Airline stocks like Jet Airways, SpiceJet are likely to see some movement in view of news coming in on the proposed civil aviation policy, the draft for which has been reviewed by the Prime Minister . According to the draft aviation policy sources in the government said the civil aviation ministry may allow airlines immediate rights to fly overseas with riders.The policy also may suggest open skies and propose a 2 per cent cess on all air tickets. Jet Airways was down almost 1.2% to stand at Rs 335, while SpiceJet plunged almost 3 per cent to stand at Rs 24.65.
DLF Ltd: The country's largest real estate developer, is close to selling a majority stake in a residential project in New Delhi to Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC. The stock was up about half a per cent to stand at Rs 115.10.
Vedanta Ltd: The company said on Thursday that collapse in aluminium prices and lack of availability of bauxite from Odisha had forced the conglomerate to opt for a gradual closure of its Lanjigarh facility in the state. The stock zoomed almost 5.5 per cent to stand at Rs 95.90 on close.
HDFC: Country's largest mortgage lender HDFC on Thursday raised Rs 2,000 crore through sale of bonds in order to boost lending operations and meet its future capital needs. The stock was up about 0.7 per cent to stand at Rs 1203.7 on close.
Aurobindo Pharma:The pharma major received approval from the US health regulator to market generic Entecavir tablets, used to treat hepatitis B, in the American market.The scrip of the pharma company was up almost 1.6 per cent to stand at Rs 755.90 on close.
