Country's two leading bourses BSE and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will conduct special live trading session on September 8 in various segments such as futures & options.
The trading would start at 11:15 am and close at 12:45 pm for both exchanges, the two bourses have said in separate announcements.
The BSE said live trading is mainly on account of testing disaster recovery software. The NSE has decided to also open during those hours.
The BSE said it would execute special live trading session in the Securities Lending and Borrowing Scheme (SLB), derivatives and cash segments.
The NSE said it would conduct a special live trading session in capital market segment and Future & Options and SLB segments.
The exchanges said pre-open trade would start at 11 am and close at 11:15 am, while normal trading session would happen between 11:15 am and 12:45 pm.
The NSE said timings for block deals would be from 11:15 am to 11:50 am.
In F&O segment, "the daily mark to market settlement for futures and premium settlement for options for trades done in F&O segment on Saturday will take place on Monday, September 10, 2012."
With regard to capital market segment, the exchange said, "Trades done on Saturday, September 8, 2012 shall be settled on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, as a separate settlement."
The NSE said on account of trading, "the pay in/pay out transactions for the same shall be settled on September 10, 2012."
In addition, the NSE said it would carry out mock trading to test the system performance in the F&O and currency derivatives division on September 1.
