The S&P BSE Sensex rallied to 26,005, up 145.70 points breaking yesterday's negative sentiment. The broader Nifty reclaimed its 8,000-mark gaining over 55 points.

Here are the top 5 stocks buzzing in trade today:

  1. Tata Elxsi: Shares of Tata Elxsi spiked 2.16 per cent on the BSE after the company said it added 20 per cent (800 people), to its design and technology workforce over the last four months.
  2. Infosys: Infosys informed the bourses on Wednesday that it signed a definitive agreement to a Limited Partner investment of Rs 31.6 crores from its Innovation Fund in Stellaris Venture Partners. The shares of Infosys is among the top performers gaining 3.09 per cent.
  3. GAIL: Shares of GAIL India rose 2.35 in early trade as the company is set to increase its pipeline network by a third in the next four years by connecting more cities with cleaner fuel.
  4. TCS: The IT service company has scrapped its Bell Curve model and needs to rethink how to appraise its employees. The shares of TCS rose 2.21 per cent to Rs 2,235 on the BSE.
  5. Sterlite Technologies: Crisil upgraded the long term credit rating to 'CRISIL AA-/Stable' from 'CRISIL A+/Watch Developing' and Short term credit rating have been upgraded to 'CRISIL A1+' from 'CRISIL A1 /Watch Developing'. The shares of the company gained as much as 3.87 per cent in trade today.
