Sensex, Nifty trading lower; PowerGrid, NTPC, Axis Bank top losers

While the Sensex opened 44 points lower at 35,806, the Nifty fell 21 points to 10,750 in early trade.

 
 
While the Sensex opened 276 points higher at 35,971, the Nifty gained 77 points to 10,804 in early trade. Of 30 Sensex stocks, 28 were trading in the green.
While the Sensex rose 117 points to 35630, Nifty gained 50 points to 10,721. Of 30 Sensex stocks, 27 were trading in the green

Of 30 Sensex stocks, 24 were trading in the red. TCS (1.08%), Sun Pharma (0.72%), Infosys (0.68%) and ICICI Bank (0.36%) were the top Sensex gainers.

Top Sensex losers were PowerGrid (1.11%), Hero MotoCorp (0.68%) and Bajaj Finance (0.23%).
Of 30 Sensex stocks, 26 were trading in the green. Tata Motors (1.29%), Bharti Airtel (1.04%), SBI (1.02%) and Vedanta (0.93%) were the top Sensex gainers.
While the Sensex rose 325 points to 36,126, Nifty gained 97 points to 10,877. Sun Pharma  (2.70%), HDFC (2%) and Vedanta (1.99%) were the top Sensex gainers.
 
 
Going ahead, the equity market will remain volatile ahead of the general election in the first half of 2019.
YES Bank (3.34%), Vedanta (3.22%) and Tata Motors (2.89%) were the top Sensex gainers. Top Sensex losers were HCL Tech (1.53%), Infosys (1%) and TCS (0.92%).
While the Sensex closed 186 points higher at 36,254, Nifty ended 47 points in the green at 10,910.
While the Sensex closed 8  points lower at 36,068, Nifty ended two points in the green at 10,862.
The Sun Pharma stock rose up to 2.42% to Rs 424 level compared to its previous close of 414 level on the BSE.
