Sensex rallies 246 points as Samvat 2075 opens on strong footing

Benchmark Sensex rallied 310 points to reclaim the 35,000-mark in the opening trade of the special Muhurat session on Wednesday to mark the beginning of Hindu Samvat year 2075.

The Sensex fell below the 35,000-level to touch a low of 34,811.60 due to heavy selling pressure in view of foreign capital outflows and weak global cues.
In the fiscal fourth quarter, Apple said iPhone unit sales barely grew from a year earlier, even though new flagship devices came out in the period.

The Sensex lost 14% or over 5,640 points and Nifty is down 14.71% or 1,730 points since August end.

The market has been correcting in the last two months and in the near-term considering the technical factors, we are bound to see some relief, experts believe.
