WHO SHOULD INVEST IN IT?
The fund promises to be consistent in returning market-beating results and has been a top performer in its category. It makes for a good candidate as a core holding of a portfolio.

The fund is mandated to invest in the top 100 companies by way of market capitalisation. The fund manager, Apoorva Shah, does so with a liquid portfolio of about 40 stocks. Currently, 81 per cent of its equity portfolio is invested in BSE 100 stocks with the lowest market capitalised company being Colgate-Palmolive. "In such a well researched space, one does not have to buy and hold for long as price targets are achieved rapidly," he says.

MEET THE FUND MANAGER
Fund manager Apoorva Shah says, "It is an actively managed portfolio. While the core remains intact, on the margin, we take calls on fund flows or news that will lead to a change in valuation. We keep our eyes on inflection points."

Data and analysis of the fund have been sourced from Value Research.
