Writing a Will could be an emotionally tough decision, but the process is no more cumbersome with HDFC Securities and Federal Bank recently launching e-Will services through which you can write your Will online.
HDFC Securities is offering this service in collaboration with WillJini, a legal partner which will assist individuals to write their personal Will online.
Federal Bank, on the other hand, has tied up with NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure and Warmond Trustees and Executors for sharing the online platform, EzeeWill, to offer customers the facility to prepare Wills online. EzeeWill is an online service of data submission for Will preparation on a computerized platform.
According to HDFC Securities, a Will can be generated online by registering on the company's website and paying a fee. After the registration, one will have to feed one's personal details, property details and details of allocation of assets. The company gives 60 days to customers to feed data and generate a Will. At present, the facility is available only for HDFC Bank customers. The company will charge Rs 4,000 for the service.
Aseem Dhru, managing director and chief executive officer, HDFC Securities, says, "The service enables individuals to securely draw up a tenable will online with ease and convenience. The service is completely confidential, and does not store any personal details. This will greatly reduce the time spent on creating a Will."
