This budget Windows 8 notebook is powered by Intel Core i3 1.9 GHz processor with 4GB of DDR3 RAM (expandable up to 16GB) and 750GB SATA HDD (with 3D Motion Sensor protection). The build is strong and sturdy, while the design is minimal with a brushed metallic silver finish. The 15.6-inch display is HD SuperView LED (backlit), while you get with harman/kardon speakers. More expensive versions are available with Core i5 and Core i7 processors.

Sony has released a sequel to it's popular RX100. This time around it comes with Near Field Communication (NFC), an Exmor R (backlit) CMOS sensor and a 'Multi Interface Shoe'. It's build light, but sturdy, using aluminium. Sony also claims of up to 40% higher sensitivity in low light due to increased autofocus speed and its f1.8 Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens. You also get a tilting LCD and wi-fi capability.

The Elitebook Revolve 810 combines a rugged construction, using a magnesium alloy chassis and Gorilla Glass display, with a thirdgeneration processors. You can choose between Intel Core i7, Core i5 and Core i3 processors and comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of SSD. The 11.6-inch touchscreen can be rotated 180 degrees and folded back towards the keyboard to make a tablet. It's expensive at Rs 90,000.

The latest dual SIM smartphone in the market, the Desire 600 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Internal storage is 8GB, expandable up to 64GB. It also has an 8MP camera with auto focus, smart flash and 720p video recording. It also has the HTC BlinkFeed (home screen feed to get push updates from apps) and HTC BoomSound. But, the price is higher than one would expect.
