SAMSUNG ST5500
Rs 17,990

FEATURES
  • 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen,Wi-Fi
  • 7x optical zoom, 720p HD video, 14.2 MP
Samsung's innovation continues with the addition of a touchscreen and Wi-Fi to a digital camera. The ST5500's picture quality and colour reproduction are excellent, especially in ambient light, but its low-light performance is less than stellar. The price is also steep for a point-and-shoot machine.

i10 KAPPA 2
Rs 4-5.5 lakh

FEATURES
  • 1,197 cc engine, 80 bhp@6,000 rpm
  • USB port with iPod compatibility
Hyundai's successful i10 has been revamped to meet European emission norms. In the process, they have also added more features, claim to have increased its fuel efficiency and redesigned the body. The new, improved i10 Kappa 2 is worth a buy.

iPOD NANO (MULTI-TOUCH)
Rs 12,770 (16 GB)

FEATURES
  • 1.54-inch colour TFT display
  • 8 GB or 16 GB flash drive, FM radio
The iPod Nano, with its multi-touch option, is sleek and stylish. Almost all buttons have been replaced with a touchscreen that is as intuitive as the click wheel. The device offers great mobility as it can fit into the smallest of pockets and even comes with a built-in clip. But, as with all Apple products, you have to pay a high price for these features.

APPLE iPAD
Rs 42,499 (32 GB)

FEATURES
  • 1,024 x 768p, 1 GHz Apple A4 processor,
  • 16 GB, 32 GB, or 64 GB flash drive
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G (optional), 3.5-mm stereo headphone jack
The iPad is finally in India. It is certainly for a technophile, especially with the improvement in applications since its global launch. However, without 3G and limited Wi-Fi, think twice before you buy it. The lack of these options will make it seem more like a toy than a replacement for a laptop.
