Reliance Industries becomes first private sector firm to cross Rs 10,000-cr quarterly profit

Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries posted a growth of 7.72 per cent in net profit at Rs 10,251 crore on consolidated basis in December quarter. The company had posted Rs 9,516 crore in the previous quarter. With this, RIL has become the first private-sector Indian company to cross the Rs 10,000 crore-mark in terms of net profit. This has exceeded street estimates which had pegged net profit in the neighbourhood of Rs 9,500 crore.

Salaries in India expected to increase 10% in 2019: Report

Employees in India are likely to see a double-digit salary growth in 2019, but inflation may play a dampener capping the hike at 5 per cent, a report said Thursday. According to global consulting firm Korn Ferry, as a result of rapid economic growth, India continues to enjoy the highest overall salary increases and real-wage growth in Asia. Salaries in India are expected to increase 10 per cent in 2019 as compared to 9 per cent last year and inflation-adjusted real-wage hikes are likely to rise to 5 per cent from 4.7 per cent in 2018.

Amul sends notice to Google, asks it to withdraw fraudulent websites

Dairy major Amul has slapped a legal notice on Google India over the search engine allegedly earning revenues from fake websites carrying its trademark. It asked Google to "cease and desist" from displaying fake and fraudulent websites. According to Amul, unknown persons have created fake websites and e-mails in the name of Amul.
