Zee Entertainment share price falls over 9% after Subhash Chandra steps down as chairman
Zee Entertainment share price fell in early trade today after its chairman Subhash Chandra stepped down with immediate effect on Monday. Zee Entertainment share price lost 9.06% to Rs 312.50 compared to the previous close of Rs 343.65 on BSE. Zee Entertainment stock has been  losing for the last two days and fallen 6.12% during the period.

Subhash Chandra resigns as Zee Entertainment Chairman, to remain on board as non-executive director
Subhash Chandra has stepped down as the Chairman of Zee Entertainment with immediate effect. His resignation was accepted by the board of Zee Entertainment on Monday. He decided to resign to comply with the rule which mandates that Chairman of a company's board cannot be related to its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Punit Goenka, the present MD & CEO of Zee Entertainment Enterprises, is the son of Subhash Chandra. Subhash Chandra and Punit Goenka will remain on Zee Entertainment board as representatives of Essel Group.

OYO Rooms reports six-fold rise in losses to Rs 2,384 crore; IPO dream suffers setback
Oyo Rooms, the country's biggest hotel chain, has reported a total loss of Rs 2,384 crore for financial year ended March 2019 (FY19), which is six times more compared to last year. The increase in loss was attributed to rise in operating expenses and employee-related expenses. The revenue, however, jumped by 4-fold to Rs 6,547 crore in FY19, compared to Rs 1,413 crore in previous financial year.

The use of facial recognition technology at a popular Indian cafe chain that triggered a backlash among customers, led to calls from human rights advocates on Monday for the government to speed up the introduction of laws to protect privacy. Customers at Chaayos took to social media during the last week to complain about the camera technology they said captured images of them without their consent, with no information on what the data would be used for, and no option to opt out. A statement from Chaayos said the technology was being tested in select cafes and was aimed at reducing purchase times for customers.

Around 12 lakh new jobs created in September 2019: ESIC payroll data
Around 12 lakh jobs were created in September as compared to 13 lakh in August 2019, according to the payroll data of Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). Gross enrolments of new subscribers with the ESIC were 1.49 crore during the entire 2018-19 fiscal, the National Statistical Office (NSO) said in a report.

Honda reopens Manesar factory after 2 weeks but slowdown in industry still persists
India's second-largest two-wheeler maker Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) on Monday reopened its Manesar factory after almost two weeks of shut down. Around 1900 permanent workers were asked to resume work in batches and no vehicles were produced, which is expected to happen only later this week. Neither was there any clarity whether a truce with the worker's union on the issue of retrenchment of 200 contractual workers had fructified.
