Chandrayaan 2: NASA finds ISRO's Vikram lander on Moon, releases images of debris

A NASA satellite has finally found ISRO's Vikram lander over two months after it crash-landed on Moon's surface. "The Chandrayaan 2 Vikram lander has been found by our @NASAMoon mission, the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter," confirmed the US space agency. The images released by NASA show the Vikram lander impact point and associated debris field. "Green dots indicate spacecraft debris. Blue dots locate disturbed soil, likely where small bits of the spacecraft churned up the regolith," the space agency said.
Centre asks states to act against onion hoarders, create buffer stocks

The Centre has asked state governments to crackdown on traders hoarding onions, create buffer stocks and distribute imported edible bulb at a reasonable rate in order to provide relief to common man from soaring prices. Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba chaired a meeting of the Committee of Secretaries to review the issue of rising onion prices across the country, an official statement said. Onions are selling at a high price of Rs 75-100 per kg in major cities.

Facebook to allow transfer of photos, videos to Google Photos

Facebook Inc said on Monday it has introduced an option to transfer photos and videos from the social media network directly to other services, starting with Google Photos. The option will be available to users in Ireland, with a worldwide roll-out planned for the first half of 2020. All data transfers will be encrypted and users will be asked for a password before the transfer is initiated, the company said in a blog post.

The Centre is working on road projects worth Rs 50,000 crore to decongest the national capital and this will help reduce pollution in the city, Union minister Nitin Gadkari said in the Rajya Sabha on Monday. The Centre is developing Dwarka Expressway with a cost of Rs 10,000 crore and also a dedicated road to connect Delhi airport from Dhaula Kuan, he said, adding that more spots been identified for decongestion.
India's manufacturing growth picks up in November - PMI
India's manufacturing activity picked up in November as new orders and output rose at a faster pace, a survey showed on Monday, although factories were less optimistic about the future, shedding jobs for the first time since March last year. That is likely to raise concerns any economic recovery could be delayed or remain below potential. Official data showed India's economy expanded at its weakest pace in more than six years in the quarter to end-September.
NCLT admits RBI petition for DHFL bankruptcy proceeding

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on December 2 admitted the Reserve Bank's petition to initiate insolvency proceedings against mortgage player DHFL, making it the first financial services firm to be resolved through the bankruptcy code. The move came in after the Reserve Bank last Friday referred DHFL to the NCLT Mumbai to resolve the debt crisis at the third largest pure-play mortgage player, which owes close to Rs 1 lakh crore to the system
