Reserve Bank of India, under a special liquidity scheme effective from today, has announced Rs 50,000 crore liquidity support for mutual funds. Financial stocks-Axis Bank, ICICI Bank and IndusInd Bank surged by 6 per cent on BSE after the RBI's announcement. The announcement came four days after US-based Franklin Templeton closed its six credit fund schemes.
