Tata Steel share price was trading above its 50-day moving average of 474 and below its 200-day moving average of 542.37 levels, respectively. The turnover for Tata Steel share rose to Rs 7.61 crore with 1.54 lakh shares traded on the BSE.

The Duke Offshore share price rose to 25.35 level intra day compared to the previous close of 21.15 level on the BSE.

Banking and consumer durables stocks led the gains with the BSE indices rising 260 points and 247 points. All 19 BSE sectoral indexes were trading in green. Market breadth was positive with 1088 stocks trading higher compared to 426 falling on the BSE.

While the Sensex closed 145 points lower at 35,352, Nifty lost 36 points to 10,604. The indices, which traded higher for major part of the session, logged losses in the last 40 minutes after selling intensified on profit booking.

Ambuja Cements share price rose up to 2.45% to 202.70 level compared to the previous close of 197.85 on the BSE.

NLC India share has been rising for the last two days and gained 2.76% during the period.  NLC India share has lost 37.19% during the last one year and fallen 9.55% since the beginning of this year.

The Emami Ltd share price rose up to 14.77% to 407.50 compared to the previous close of 355.05 on the BSE. Emami share opened 3.06% higher at 365.90 on the BSE.  Emami share price has lost 25.76% during the last one year and fallen 5.64% since the beginning of this year.

Rs 1,00,000 invested in the stock on February 20, 2009  would have grown to Rs 2.72 crore today. The company's share price has zoomed from Rs 4.07 on February 20, 2009 to Rs 1,109  on the NSE.
