As per research by CRISIL, buoyant inflows in equity and short-maturity debt funds lifted the average AUM of Indian mutual funds to a new record. According to the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) numbers, AAUM logged in the March quarter was Rs 13.53 lakh crore.
FPIs withdraw funds from debt mkts for second consecutive month

Overseas investors withdrew Rs 6,510 crore (net after selling and buying) from debt market in June. In May-June 2016, FPIs have withdrawn Rs 11,680 crore from the debt markets.

Angel and seed investments grew 16 per cent to 368 deals in the first half of the current calendar year from 317 deals a year ago. But, only 643 private equity deals worth $5.8 billion were recorded in the first half of 2016 calendar year, a dip of 46 per cent in the same period last year.
