The audit report stated that DHFL disbursed loans and advances to inter-connected entities seemingly linked to its promoters, and repayments to the tune of Rs 12,541 crore by 28 such entities are untraceable. In addition, the report red-flags loan disbursal without proper documentation to several companies boasting minimal operations

DHFL share price was stuck in lower circuit of 5% today at Rs 18.45 compared to the previous close of Rs 19.40 valuing his current holding at Rs 14.24  crore. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala held 77.20 lakh or 2.46% in the firm at Rs 249.4 per share on December 31, 2018.

Draft report of the audit has been shared with members of DHFL's committee of creditors last week and will be presented to board of the mortgage lender once it is finalised

Share Market Update:  Indian Benchmark indices extended gains in the afternoon session to close on the positive side, backed up by gains in Bank, Realty, Auto and Financial Services. However, India Vix index, that subjects volatility in the market, was up at 27, ahead of counting of Lok Sabha Election 2019 to be done on May 23.

Earlier in January, the portal had alleged that housing finance company DHFL sanctioned and disbursed huge sums of money in loans without filing any charge documents with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in most of the cases.

Dewan Housing Finance  share price gained 21.1% to 162.30 compared to the previous close of 133.90 on the NSE. On BSE, Dewan Housing Finance share rose 20% to 160.80 against previous close of 134.

DHFL shares surged over 11 per cent to rebound from losses in early morning deals which came on the heels of Wednesday's announcement that its chief executive Harshil Mehta had resigned due to his engagement with other assignments.
