WhatsApp launches new One-Way Broadcasting feature for group chatsWhatsApp's new One-way Broadcasting feature has been rolled out to most devices. The new feature lets a group admin dictate what is posted in a group. As the feature's name suggests, it's a one-way flow of messages. The group admin will be the only person who can post within that group. The new feature is being rolled out to all Android, iOS devices and is already in place within the Groups in your WhatsApp chats. To access the feature, go to the WhatsApp group where you are an admin and then tap on the group's name and select 'group info'. Within 'group info', go to 'group settings' and then select 'send messages'. A pop up will ask you to choose who can send messages in the group. Select 'only admins' to activate the new feature.Group info>Group settings>Send Messages>Admins onlySamsung launches Galaxy On6 at Rs 14,490; will be Flipkart exclusiveSamsung, the South Korean electronics conglomerate, has launched the Galaxy On6 in India. However, OnePlus has unveiled an all new colour Red for the device. The company had released teasers with the hashtag #TheRedYouNeed for the new variant and announced July 2 as the date of launch. Last year the company had launched a Red variant of the OnePlus 5T as well. The company unveiled the Red variant of the OnePlus 6 on its Indian twitter handle. There are no details about the availability of the new variant but the company will be start selling the red variant in other global markets from next week. Indian OnePlus fans can expect a similar launch time. We are expecting that the company will release more information on the official availability of the new variant later during the day.

Now apply for passport from anywhere in India: MEA  External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has launched a new scheme under which a person can apply for a passport from anywhere in India irrespective of the place of stay. She also launched a mobile application, available in Android and iOS platforms, that would have the facilities for applying, paying and scheduling appointments for acquiring a passport. A person can now choose the Regional Passport Office (RPO) and the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) for submitting the application.The police verification, if required for a specific passport, would be conducted at the address specified in the application form.NPA situation likely to worsen further, says RBI  Painting a gloomy picture of the banking sector, the RBI today said gross bad loans as percentage of total advances of banks are likely to rise from 11.6 per cent in March 2018 to 12.2 per cent by the end of the current fiscal. In its Financial Stability Report (FSR), the RBI said stress in the banking sector continues as gross non-performing advances (GNPA) ratio rises further. Referring to the 11 state-owned banks under prompt corrective action framework (PCA), the RBI said they may experience worsening of their GNPA ratio from 21 per cent in March 2018 to 22.3 per cent by this fiscal-end.Ajay Chitkara appointed CEO of Airtel Business  Telecom major Bharti Airtel today said it has appointed Ajay Chitkara as director and CEO of its business-to-business arm - Airtel Business. Chitkara has been with Airtel since 2001 and is credited with building brand Airtel in the global wholesale segment. The company said that Global Business arm of Airtel grew in topline to become a billion dollar business, while cash flow margins jumped five-fold since 2013 under Chitkara. In his new position, he will continue reporting to Gopal Vittal, MD and CEO - Bharti Airtel.India's largest telecom entity will be known as Vodafone Idea LtdKumar Mangalam Birla's Idea Cellular and Vodafone India will soon be known as Vodafone Idea Limited. Both the telecom operators are in the process of merging their businesses, and the approval for merger by the Department of Telecom is in final stage. On Tuesday, the shareholders of Idea Cellular approved the name 'Vodafone Idea Limited' for the new -- after merger-- entity.  The change in the name will be effective post completion of merger of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular. Vodafone is expected to own 45.1 per cent, 26 per cent by Aditya Birla Group and Idea shareholders will own 28.9 in the combined entity. Govt to include natural gas, jet fuel under GST in next Council meeting on July 21Petrol and diesel prices will continue to burn a hole in your pocket as the government has no immediate plan to include it under the GST net. The GST Council, which will meet on July 21, however, may give its nod to include 'natural gas' and 'aviation turbine fuel' under the indirect tax regime. The members would also have an option to withdraw remaining 25 per cent of their funds and go for final settlement of account after completion of two months of unemployment under the new provision in the Employee Provident Fund Scheme 1952.

The Mi 8 went on sale in China on June 5 while the smaller Mi 8 SE went on sale on June 8.Donovan Sung, the global spokesperson of the company took to Twitter and said, \"Sharing some amazing news. The Mi 8 series first went on sale on June 5. Just 18 days later, we've already sold over 1M units!\".  It must be noted that out of the three smartphones, the Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE are already available in the market. However, the Explorer Edition is likely to be released in July.

However, an unfortunate incident with Cradle Fund CEO Nazrin Hassan has caused serious concerns with the current state of our smartphone technology. According to an India Today report, the CEO of Malaysia's startup influencer passed away last week when his mobile phone exploded while charging. Reports suggest that Hassan died due to suffocation from smoke. According to The Malaysian Insight, the smartphone explosion caused a blunt trauma on the back of the victim's head and that was the reason why he couldn't respond to the fire and smoke. According to Hassan's brother-in-law, Nazrin died even before mattress caught fire.Nokia 5.1 Plus spotted on TENAA; features revealedThe Nokia 5.1 Plus has been doing rounds in the rumour mill for the last few weeks. The device has leaked in various renders and on certification portals. Now, the specifications of the upcoming phone have been leaked on TENAA along with certain design features. With the Nokia 2 (2018), Nokia 3 (2018) and Nokia 5 (2018), Nokia recently updated its mid-range and entry-level smartphone segment. The Nokia 5.1 Plus with model number TA-1109 was first spotted on SlashLeaks and now its features have been leaked in a listing on Chinese certification portal TENAA. Going by the listing, the Nokia 5 Plus will most likely run on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box and feature a 5.86-inch HD+ (720 x 1520 pixels) TFT panel with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The leak also indicates the phone could have a notch, which has been already observed with the previous renders. However, the images on the TENAA listing does not confirm that for now.
