Deadline For Aadhaar-PAN Linking Extended; e-PAN Can Be Generated Instantly

In the amended Customer Due Diligence (CDD) procedure, RBI said, \"The Aadhaar number, the PAN or Form No. 60\" need to be obtained from an individual who is eligible for applying for the biometric ID.

This is a fourth extension given by the government for individuals to link their PAN with their biometric ID number. The move comes in the backdrop of the Supreme Court directing extension of the March 31 deadline for linking Aadhaar with various other services.
