PM Modi on Monday inaugurated India's first driverless train on Delhi Metro's Magenta Line. Driverless Metro Train Route: The driverless train will comprise six coaches packed with advanced features

The inauguration will be held via video conferencing at 11 am on Monday. The driverless metro train will run on the 37-km Magenta Line, connecting Janakpuri West and Botanical Garden

Union Minister of Housing and Urban affairs Hardeep Singh Puri saysthat fare hike may not be required next year as the revenue of the DMRC is going up along with an increase in overall ridership.

Terminal 1 of the IGI Airport has also been connected to the metro network through this corridor that will take the total length of the DMRC network to 277 km.

The Delhi Metro is also touting the Magenta Line as a 'Knowledge Corridor' as four major universities of the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR), have been connected on it.

He said people lived in an era in which connectivity was all important, and that the Magenta Line, connecting South Delhi's Kalkaji Mandir to Botanical Garden in Noida, was not only for the present but also for future generations.

Delhi Metro's new generation trains that can be manoeuvred without drivers are going to run on this route.
