In a separate development, the company said it has completed the acquisition of RHT Health Trust (RHT) assets of the Singapore-listed entity for an enterprise value of Rs 4,650 crore.

The comments come less than three months after Baker said that the Gulf carrier would soon be moving an application to launch a full-service airline in India for domestic operations.

Qatar Airways currently operates to 13 cities in India from its Doha hub while the Tata-SIA run joint venture airline Vistara operates to 18 domestic destinations.

The airline used to serve Nagpur during January 2008 to May 2009.

IndiGo is preparing to file a draft prospectus by May for a stock listing to raise $300 million to $400 million, sources told Reuters in March.
