The stock opened with a gain of 2.87% on BSE today compared to the previous close of 177.40. The stock rose up to 5.24% to hit an intra day high of 186.70 on the BSE.  The stock is already down 53.86% from its all-time high of 404 level hit on August 20, 2018.

The mid cap and small cap indices were trading 1.18% and 1.38% higher in early trade. Market breadth was positive with 1,303 stocks rising compared to 308 falling on the BSE.

The stock has gained after five days of consecutive fall and touched an intra day high of 175.50 (6.14%) today. It was trading 5.38% higher at 174.25 level on the BSE.  The large cap stock was the top gainer on Sensex and Nifty today.

Of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 closed higher.  Sun Pharma (2.09%), Coal India (1.62%) and YES Bank (1.31%) were the top Sensex losers.

Market sentiments were boosted by a host of positive factors including stable rupee, falling crude oil prices, subdued retail inflation and steps to improve liquidity situations.

The YES Bank stock has been hit by a spate of resignations of board members in last one week and has fallen 11% during the period.

The stock gained up to 6.9% to 204.50 on the BSE. The large cap stock has gained after three days of consecutive fall and opened with a gain of 2.74% at 196.55. It is the top Sensex and Nifty gainer today.  On Nifty, the stock rose 5.71% to 201.90.

Top Sensex gainers were Vedanta (5.59%), YES Bank (4.98%) and Adani Ports (4.76%). Wipro 1.39%, Coal India (0.31%) and TCS (0.19%)  were top Sensex losers.

Meanwhile, the rupee rose 41 paise to close at more than three-week high of 73.16 against the US currency on Wednesday as global crude oil prices eased and domestic equity markets staged a smart rebound.

While the Sensex rose 523 points to 34,524, Nifty gained 1.67% or 167 points to 10,402 level.

In fact, the lender was the top Sensex and Nifty gainer in early trade rising 4.11% and 4.59%, respectively.

At 9:57 am, the Sensex rose 205 points to 37,923 level. The Nifty too gained 72.85 points to 11,442 points. Brent crude, which hit $80 per barrel two days ago, was trading at $78.25 a barrel.

While the Sensex hit an all-time high of 38,610 rising 358 points from its previous close of 38,251, Nifty gained 101 pts to record 11,659 level intra day. Meanwhile, the rupee gained in the opening trade. The currency opened higher by 15 paise at 69.76 per dollar versus close of 69.91 on Friday.

Top Sensex gainers were YES Bank (3.76%), Vedanta Ltd (3.09%), and SBI (3.02%). Of 30 Sensex stocks, 20 ended in the green.  Top Sensex losers were Hero MotoCorp (1.14%), ONGC (0.61%), and Maruti (0.58%).
