Airtel has announced a promotional offer wherein it will give free 1000GB additional data for six months.

Reliance JioFiber: Reduction in speed is due to the single-band (2.4GHz) router. To get 100 Mbps speed, the user will have to upgrade to the dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi router

Airtel has priced the Xstream Fiber service at Rs 3,999 per month. Notably, Reliance Jio Fiber offers 1Gbps network speed with its Platinum and Titanium plans worth Rs 3,999 and Rs 8,499 respectively

JioFiber hasn't disclosed its entire plan and pricing strategy yet but others have already started slashing their prices, extending additional benefits and offering a free subscription to other third-party OTT platforms to ward-off the customer churn

Jio GigaFiber is cheaper and will give a tough fight to the existing players in the market that include Airtel, Tata Sky, and ACT Fibernet

The plan has been launched specifically for the subscribers of fiber-to-home service. The Airtel subscribers opting for the plan will also be able to enjoy the benefits of Airtel's OTT apps like Wynk Music and Airtel TV.

For Mumbai, customers can also avail the data plans of Rs 699 and Rs 849, and get 500GB and 700GB additional data till October 31, respectively. For Chennai customers, the 1000GB offer is applicable on Rs 1299 and Rs 1999 only.

Airtel, being thebiggest incumbent player in the industry is probably the only company that isequipped to tackle the onslaught of offers from Jio.
