Sanju's box office collection has surpassed that of Deepika Padukone's Padmaavat, Salman Khan's latest movie, Race 3, Baaghi 2 and Raid.

As far as Salman Khan movies go, Race 3's first three days' collection surpassed even Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan's. However, it remained short of overtaking Tiger Zinda Hai.

The movie raked in Rs 29.17 crore on its opening day, pipping Baaghi 2, Padmavat, Veere Di Wedding and PadMan to become the biggest Bollywood opener of 2018.

Veere Di Wedding performed well overseas as well and debuted on the top 10 charts in Australia, New Zealand and UK.

In Australia, Veere Di Wedding debuted at no. 7, while it debuted at no. 8 in UK and no. 5 at New Zealand.

Baaghi 2 is set to become Tiger Shroff's first movie in the 100 crore club.
