Ratul Puri will however remain in jail as he was also arrested in another case - the one related to bank fraud

Senior advocate Vikas Pahwa, appearing for Puri, told Special Judge Arvind Kumar that he was not a director or a shareholder, directly or indirectly

The court has allowed Ratul Puri to carry his medicines along with him to jail, subject to the opinion of the jail doctor. The judge also asked the jail superintendent to consider Puri's request to provide orthopaedic mattress as per prison rules

Apart from Michel, two other middlemen, Guido Haschke and Carlo Gerosa, are being probed by ED and CBI; the Delhi court had also sent businessman Ratul Puri to 6-day ED custody in the case

Puri filed his application for surrender before Special Judge Arvind Kumar via his advocate Vijay Aggarwal. The application prayed for the production of Puri in the court so that he can surrender before the judge

The order came a day after the Delhi High Court dismissed Ratul Puri's anticipatory bail application in the AgustaWestland case
