The Tata Motors share price crashed to a fresh 52-week low of 141.90, down 22.41% or 41 points compared to the previous close of 182.90 on BSE. Singed by a non-cash charge of Rs 27,838 crore to cover the impairment at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in the three months to December 31 and a cut in future profit margin outlook, the Tata Motors share price ended 17.28% lower to Rs  151.30 on the BSE.

Earlier on November 20, 2018, Yes Bank had stated that efforts were being undertaken for mutual resolution and truce between Rana Kapoor Group and Madhu Kapur and family, the two co-promoter groups of the bank.

The stock which was trading near 193 level before the big announcement surged 26.65 points to close at 219.65 on Friday.

The large cap stock closed 2.71% or 5.80 points higher at 219.65 compared to the previous close of 213.85.

YES Bank has received RBI's approval for appointing Ravneet Singh Gill as the successor to founder and promoter Rana Kapoor as the Chairman and CEO.

During the session, the BSE benchmark Sensex swung over 260 points both ways on alternate bouts of buying and selling by participants.

The large cap stock closed 8.39% or 16 points higher at 213.85 compared to the previous close of 197.30.  The stock opened higher at 198.80 level in trade today and hit an intra day high of  234.90  (up 19.06%) on the BSE.

The bank on Thursday also named Ravneet Singh Gill, currently heading Deutsche Bank India, as the managing director and chief executive officer to succeed Rana Kapoor.

Gill will replace Rana Kapoor at the helm of the private lender. Kapoor finishes his tenure as the Yes Bank CEO on January 31.
