Google is allowing third party software developers to peep into your Gmail InboxThe Mountain View tech giant, Google, has been allowing third-party app developers to scan through inboxes of Gmail users, according to a recent Wall Street Journal report. In June last year, Google stopped scanning user's emails, which was being done to provide personalized ads. Despite personally curtailing the inapt practice, it has allowed hundreds of third-parties to continue doing the same. The report said, \"Google does little to police those developers, who train their computers - and, in some cases, employees - to read their users' emails.\" While many companies use machines to skim email messages for keywords and phrases, few allow their employees to read through user's messages. \"Email data collectors use software to scan millions of messages a day, looking for clues about consumers that they can sell to marketers, hedge funds, and other businesses.\"  Apple's new 6.1 inch iPhone with LCD panel might be priced as low as $600Apple's new iPhones have been a subject of curiosity since Apple launched the iPhone X and its younger siblings. Numerous reports have suggested that the Cupertino-based company will be selling three iPhones this year. Single-handedly, it was analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who has provided the maximum amount of details about the three iPhones that will launch later this year. Now, the analyst has cleared the air about the pricing of the cheapest of the three iPhones. Kuo claims that Apple has reduced the pricing of the iPhone that uses LCD by ditching the second camera module and pressure sensitive 3D touch. According to a report by 9to5Mac, Kuo claimed that the cheapest iPhone will be priced in the range of $600-$700 which roughly translates to Rs 41,000-Rs 48,000. Earlier, the same analyst has estimated a slightly higher price point but Apple's recent changes have brought down the price of the device. In India, the device is expected to be priced substantially higher than the launch price in the US.Around 8 lakh Facebook users affected by bug that unblocked blocked usersThe Chief Privacy Officer of Facebook, Erin Egan, revealed on Monday that accounts of 8,00,000 users were affected by a bug which unblocked some people that they had blocked. Egan also apologised for the same, indicating that the ability to block someone is considered important by Facebook. The bug was reportedly active between May 29 and June 5. While people who were unblocked could not see content shared with friends; they could see content directed to a much wider audience, eg pictures shared with friends of friends. 83 per cent of users affected by the bug had only one person in the blocklist temporarily unblocked. The company would be informing those affected with a pop-up message encouraging them to check their blocked list.
