Mark Zuckerberg is the third high profile CEO of a US-based corporation, after Amazon's Jeff Bezos and Microsoft's Satya Nadella, to visit India in last few days.

At that price, the IPO, one of the largest-ever, would give Alibaba a market valuation of $167.6 billion, surpassing American corporate icons from Walt Disney to Boeing.

The 32GB version will now be available for 99 cents with a two-year contract, a year of Amazon Prime membership and other cloud services, Amazon said in a statement.

The Finance Ministry's Enforcement Directorate is looking into whether Amazon.com's local subsidiary may have sold directly to customers.

The move is the largest deal in Amazon's 20-year history and will help the US e-commerce company vie with Apple Inc and Google Inc in the fast-growing world of online gaming.

The San Francisco-based company will enter the country through franchise-operated Gap brand stores in partnership with Arvind Lifestyle Brand, a subsidiary of Arvind Limited.

With India lacking the rules that will govern the use of UAVs, Amazon is likely to start trials of its drone delivery vehicles in Bangalore and Mumbai, cities where the the company has warehouses, people aware of the development said.

\"After our first year in business, the response from customers and small and medium-sized businesses in India has far surpassed our expectations,\" said Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of the US-based Amazon.com.
