Indian Navy's three warships, INS Airavat, INS Trikand and INS Kolkata, docked at Visakhapatnam, Mumbai and New Mangalore ports on Monday ferrying liquid medical oxygen (LMO) and associated medical equipment from abroad as part of the mission Samudra Setu-II. The Indian Navy Ship Airavat brought eight cryogenic oxygen tanks, each with a capacity of 20 metric tonnes of oxygen, and 3,150 empty oxygen cylinders and 500 filled oxygen cylinders from Singapore, whereas the Indian Naval Ship Trikand arrived with 40 MT liquid Oxygen from Hamad Port, Qatar. INS Kolkata, on the other hand, carried two 27 MT of liquid oxygen, 400 Oxygen cylinders and 47 oxygen concentrators from Qatar and Kuwait respectively. While these ships entered ports to augment oxygen supply in three different states, two more warships are en route to India from Kuwait,  one from Brunei to bring medical supplies. As the vaccine shortage continues in the National Capital , Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has slammed the Centre for allocating only 3.69 lakh vaccine doses against 1.34 crore vaccine doses ordered by Aam Aadmi Party. Deputy CM also refuted the claims that Delhi had ordered only 5.5 lakh of vaccine doses, which he said was incorrect. \"BJP's allegation of Delhi ordering only 5.5 lakh doses of vaccines is incorrect\", said Manish Sisodia. Sisodia also said that the party placed orders directly with two vaccine manufacturers in the country for 1.34 crore doses to vaccinate those above 18 years of age. Watch the video for more. Little or no help from the central or Delhi governments has forced a number of hospitals in the national capital to install their own oxygen plants and generators. BLK Super Specialty Max Hospital has procured an oxygen generator and cylinder filling system from France. The hospital will now be installing an in-house oxygen generator to tide over the crisis. This oxygen concentrator, which comes along with an oxygen cylinder filling system, will help the hospital with 15 per cent of its total need for oxygen. In addition, it will also fill 50-60 oxygen cylinders. The city witnessed 448 COVID deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the official figures.
