Stock Market Live News Today: Sensex and Nifty continued hitting new all-time highs today. Both benchmarks hit fresh lifetime highs of 51,523 and 15,159 earlier today

Since March 23, when Sensex saw its biggest intraday fall, the index has gained 7,736 points or 29.77%. Nifty too has rallied 2,249 points or 29.55%  compared to closing of 7,610 on March 23

Market breadth favoured advances with the advance-decline ratio at 3:2. Only 4 out of 30 stocks on Sensex and 11 of 50 scrips on Nifty closed in the red.

Shares of Indiabulls Housing Finance opened higher and traded as the top gainer on BSE, rising 9.99%. Later, the shares touched an intraday high of Rs 339.2, rising 60 points or 21.45% against the previous closing of Rs 279.20.

Following the update, Escorts share price rose 5.11% today. It later gained 10.7% and touched an intraday high of Rs 863.75, as against the last closing value of Rs 780.10.

Although the brokerage house maintained 'Outperform' rating on the stock of market leader Indigo, it has cut earnings estimates for FY20, FY21 and FY22 by 83%, 31%, and 18%, respectively.

Following the update, share price of Aurobindo Pharma formed a gap up chart pattern with the opening bell, rising 10%. Later, the stock touched an intraday high of Rs 594, rising 18.75% on BSE as against the previous closing value of Rs 500.20 on BSE.

On Saturday, IDBI Bank stock had rallied up to 17% intra day post Budget announcement that the government would sell its residual stake in the lender to retail investors.

Following the result update, L&T share price rose to intraday high of Rs 1,339.50, gaining 3.3% on BSE against the previous close of Rs 1,294.25.

On the standalone basis, the private lender's profit increased to Rs 1,596 crore from Rs 1,291 crore in Q3FY19, registering a YoY growth of 24 per cent

Following Q3 earnings, shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank touched an intraday low of Rs 1,630, falling 4% on BSE.
